Possibly, the most anticipated smartphone of the year – Samsung Galaxy S3, will launch in April, if we were to believe this report by ZDNet Korea, who claims to have confirmed the time frame with Cheil Worldwide, Samsung’s marketing and advertising agency.
The
actual announcement might happen as early as this month, with the
devices hitting the shelves in April 2012. ZDNet report indicates that
UK will be one of the first markets to get the Samsung Galaxy S3 and
Samsung is already making big plans to promote their flagship smartphone
during the upcoming London Olympics 2012, the biggest sporting event of the year!
Samsung
has often released their flagship devices first in Europe, with Asia
and Americas following the suits. So this report is very much
believable, though it is tough to understand why Samsung is happy with
these deliberate leakage of information.
If these rumored specs
of Samsung Galaxy S3 are anything to go by, the device will be worth
drooling all the more. An Android 4.0 ICS device with 4.8 inch 1080p HD
display, powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core Samsung Exynos processor, an
8-megapixel rear camera, a 3-megapixel front camera and boasting
features like 4G LTE, NFC, Samsung Galaxy S3 should be well worth the
wait.
